Marian House was the first purpose built Respite Home in the West of Ireland catering totally for the special caring needs of Alzheimer Patients. The aim of the Foundation is to give short term residential care. This 12 bed unit was built and commissioned in 1999 to give Respite to families 1 week in 6 (depending on availability) including DAY CARE SERVICE when required. This Respite service helps Carers in their determination to keep their Alzheimer Patient at home. Marian House maintains a warm friendly atmosphere establishing a safe environment where residents feel at home with full time nursing care.
